INKTOBER ROUND 3
As I mentioned in last weeks blog post, my markers did run out while I was away in Turkey, however, I decided now that I was home to go back to a previous technique that I've used before, mixing digital and traditional. So what I did was got the sketches that I wanted to ink, filled them with a gradient in Photoshop, and then printed them out making sure the sketch layer was very light so you could barely see it when it was printed.
Once it was printed I could ink it with a brush pen and use some coloured pencils to add some final details including any shadows and lighting! So that's what I've currently been doing from the first Caiman sketch in this post onwards.
It's something I'm thinking about using on a regular basis for personal drawings now as I think that the two Caiman ones are some of the best traditional drawings that I've ever done!
